Job Role & Description

The Investor Relations Associate will support the Bright Meadow Investor Relations & Business Development Team by delivering exceptional service and timely and accurate information to investors and prospects and collaborating with the groups within Bright Meadow and Mariner.

The Bright Meadow Team (“Bright Meadow”) is a distinct investment team within Mariner with approximately $3.1 billion of assets under management (as of 1/31/2024).   Bright Meadow consists of credit, prepayment & structuring specialists who seek to leverage their expertise to generate alpha across the mortgage and consumer securitized product markets.  Founded in 2007, Bright Meadow has a longstanding track record that spans a broad range of capabilities within securitized product investing driving innovative investment solutions across the risk, return and liquidity spectrum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, updating, maintaining, and disseminating routine investor reporting such as monthly investor performance and portfolio related reports, and weekly/monthly investor performance estimates for all related Bright Meadow vehicles;

  • Preparing, updating, maintaining, and disseminating monthly marketing materials such as marketing presentations, tear sheets, and due diligence questionnaires;

  • Overseeing and maintaining all investor distribution lists in the CRM (Client Relations Management) database and distributing investor reporting via the CRM system;

  • Updating and tracking existing and prospective investor information in CRM system;

  • Communicating clearly and frequently with Mariner Investor Relations and Compliance to manage compliance related workflow pipeline materials and deadlines;

  • Completing investor due diligence questionnaires and related requests and managing and updating the questionnaire database system to ensure it is accurate and up to date;

  • Managing fund reporting across various databases;

  • Responding to requests for information from existing and prospective investors;

  • Aiding in the creation of presentations and commentaries / primers for existing and prospective investors;

  • Aiding in the coordination and preparation of materials for existing and prospective investors calls and meetings;

  • Liaising with all groups within Bright Meadow to assist with the development of investor materials and analytics;

  • Shadow tracking, monitoring and reporting on investor information such as investor concentration, composition, capital activity, balances, and fees;

  • Researching, analysing, and reporting to Bright Meadow on industry trends and competitor performance;

  • Preparing ad hoc requests from other members of Bright Meadow

Education, Skills, & Experience: 

  • B.S. or B.A. from a 4‐year college or university

  • 1+ years of related or transferable business experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to work with datasets and be able to perform detailed analysis

  • Organized, detail‐oriented, accurate, motivated, team player

  • Works well under pressure with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload while adhering to strict deadlines

  • Preference will be given to candidates with structured product knowledge

  • Must provide writing samples

Compensation:

  • Benefits: Full medical, dental and vision coverage

  • Salary: $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience*

 

* Individual salaries for this role may vary based on various factors including but not limited to, candidate skills and experience. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including but not limited to, individual and organizational performance.
